Between the babyhood and childhood deaths, accidental killings, incest, forbidden love, murder and the family spirit Lasher, it is amazing the Mayfair's survived as they did. As you follow the witches, you will see missing children's names, these are the children that did not make it and you will see father's that just should not be the father of certain children. Yet, through all the madness and all the grief that surrounds this family, they grew in great numbers and survived with great strength. (I have based the births and parents on the Talamasca records which may and can differ from what Julien says in 'Lasher' and what the family leads people to believe).
