I don't think much of this movie at all.

 

Sure, it has the same title and some same character names. The characters are vampires, but that is about where it all ends.

 

In my opinion, this movie is the same title and elements of an Anne Rice novel, but that is it. I could have liked this movie if it had've been called anything else.

 

Queen Of The Damned is one of my favourite Anne Rice novels, especially in the Vampire Chronicles. So much happens within this novel that isn't even close to being portrayed in the movie.

 

Sure, Lestat is a movie star, sure Akasha wakes, but there are vampires killed in this movie that weren't in the novel, there is a love story that never happened, there is a missing twin ... oh I could ramble on this all day.

 

Sad, I found this so called adaptation very sad.
